Three schools and a day care center were briefly locked down today as a precaution when someone threatened suicide nearby, Olathe police said.

Police alerted the schools when they responded to the call at a home near West 141 Street Terrace and South Brougham Drive, which is within walking distance of Frontier Trail Middle School, Briarwood Elelmentary School, Prince of Peace Catholic School and Harmony Early Childhood day care.

The call came in about 11:30 a.m. and was resolved in less than an hour.
