Overland Park police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a ring of thieves who hit a Best Buy store last month and stole more than $7,000 in merchandise.
Authorities said the theft occurred Jan. 18 at the store at 115th Street and Metcalf Avenue. The thieves stole computer tablets, GPS units and cameras. No injuries were reported.
Investigators think five people were involved. One thief distracted employees. Two pulled the products from the shelves. A fourth person removed theft detection sensors. A fifth person took the items out of the store.
Police released photos showing three of the suspects.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).

3 months agoYou would think that Best Buy could manage to put in better cameras. That last picture looks like it is either Elton John or my Aunt Bertie. I’m sure that it won’t be hard to track these guys down at all.
