Olathe police announced this morning that they have recovered the five AR-15 rifles that were stolen during a burglary of the Bass Pro Shops last month.

Olathe detectives recovered the weapons Friday. Police would not say where the weapons were found or what lead to the recovery.

The rifles were taken during an early-morning burglary at the bass Pro Shops at 12051 S. Renner Blvd. in Olathe on Sept. 24.

Olathe police arrested three men hours later with the help of the Shawnee Police Department.

Damon DeWayne Steen Jr., 20, David Changa Clarke, 25, and Leon Myco Granger Jr., 19, were charged with burglary and theft. Granger also faces a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

A fourth defendant, a juvenile, has been charged too.

Olathe police continue to investigate the burglary. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 913-971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
