A 41-year-old Overland Park woman was charged today with robbery-related counts after failed robbery attempts in Johnson County.

Jennifer Anne Scott was charged in Johnson County District Court with two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.

Scott was arrested Thursday afternoon after she allegedly tried to rob the Trek Bicycle Store at 10412 Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee.

When officers arrived, they found Trek employees holding Scott on the ground. She allegedly implied that she had a weapon, but police didn’t find one.

The attempted robbery occurred a few minutes after a woman tried to rob the Long John Silver’s Restaurant at 9900 Shawnee Mission Parkway in Merriam. Scott was charged in that case, too.

Scott is being held in the Johnson County jail on a $20,000 bond.
