The Overland Park City Council on Monday night approved admission fees for the city’s arboretum of $3 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-12.
That is lower than the $5 and $3 fees approved earlier this year. The council suspended that decision to consider a fairer pricing system.
The fees will go into effect at the beginning of the year. The arboretum at 179th Street, just west of U.S. 69, will be free on two weekends during the year, one in spring and one in fall. It also will be open one free day during the week.
