IRS to auction restaurant equipment, tools, tires in Shawnee Thursday

The Internal Revenue Service will hold a giant garage sale on Thursday in Shawnee.

The IRS will sell off property seized for nonpayment of federal taxes at two sepearate auctions at Lindsy’s Auctions, 4795 Frisbie Road.

Items scheduled to be sold are from a tire shop and a restaurant.

The contents from the restaurant will be sold starting at 9 a.m. Among the items: a commercial refrigerator, freezer, milk dispenser, deep fryers, tables and chairs, and microwaves.

The entire stock can be purchased or will be sold separately. The minimum aggregate bid for all the restaurant items is $2,385, the IRS said.

The tire shop items will be sold starting at 10 a.m.. The inventory includes more than 1,000 brand-name auto, truck, farm and trailer tires, the IRS said.

The minim aggregate bid for all tire shop items is $7,297, although items could be bought separately.

Items for the auction can be viewed today between noon and 3 p.m. at Lindsy’s, or Thursday before the event.
