A two vehicle crash along northbound Interstate 35 near Interstate 435 in Johnson County created a nightmare for commuters headed north from Olathe. Traffic was bumper to bumper as it tried to squeeze past the accident. Two lanes of the highway were closed. Traffic has slowed to a crawl on northbound Interstate 35 from Olathe because of a crash that blocked two lanes.
Two vehicles crashed about 7 a.m. along northbound I-35 just before Interstate 435.
The crash closed the two right lanes of the highway and traffic backed up beyond West 127th Street. All lanes of the highway reopened shortly before 8:25 a.m.
