Advance voting in person for the Aug. 7 primary started Tuesday and advance voting by mail is in its second week.
Today, 913 continues its comprehensive coverage of local elections. In this issue you’ll find stories about contested Kansas House primaries in Johnson County and the primary for county sheriff. Next week, we’ll wrap up the Kansas House races and the county races with the 3rd District primary for County Commission.
We also offer a campaign notebook this week, with nuggets from the campaign trail.
Even more information can be found at The Star’s election website, midwestdemocracy.com. You’ll find news stories and blogs, biographical information about the candidates and a questionnaire the candidates were asked to answer.
