Educator honored
Frank Zilm of the University of Kansas School of Architecture has been named “educator of the year” by the editors of.Healthcare Design. Zilm is the university’s Chester Dean lecturer on health care design.
Health care forum
The Olathe Chamber of Commerce will host a program on “Health Care reforms’ impact on business on Feb. 15. The luncheon will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ball Conference Center, 21350 W. 153rd St.
Participants will include Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger; Frank Devocelle, president and chief executive officer of Olathe Health System; and Carolyn Watley, president beenfits and insurance services at Cbiz.

Overland Park awards
Four companies, a college and two business leaders will be honored by the Overland Park Chamber’s economic development council on Thursday The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Regnier Center at Johnson County Community College.
The NOVA award, which is given to fast-growing companies: LightWild, an architectural lighting manufacturer; ProPharma Group, a health care services company; and UnitedLex Corp;. a technology services company.
The Business Hall of Honor, which goes to a business committed to economic development and improving the quality of life in Overland Park: Yaeger Architecture Inc.
The Commercial Development Award, which recognizes investment in the economy: Wright Career College.
The Ben Craig Vision Award, in honor of longtime banker and civic leader Ben Craig: Robert M. Clark, vice chancellor of the University of Kansas Edwards Campus, and Terry Calaway, president of Johnson County Community College. Both Clark and Calaway plan to retire this year.
